The APPEAL is being applied for.

Article says:
A spokeswoman for the judicial communications office confirmed that “an application for leave to appeal against sentence has been received.”

She said: “The application for permission, with appeal if granted, will be heard on March 22 before a court presided over by the Lord Chief Justice.”

My ex local MP and a right smarmy bd.

Hope the application fails miserably.

Just think about that for a second. Why do you think that the government want to limit the right to have one?

Just to revive this, Chaytor has been jailed as we know, but shouldn't Jim Devine have been sentenced by now? Also, what has happened to Elliot Morley's prosecution?

Devine has been convicted but not yet sentenced. He should have been sentenced 2 weeks ago. Not sure why this hasn't happened. The last reports on him were his declaration of bankruptcy last month as a result of failing to pay compensation to his office manager for constryctive dismissal.

Elliot Morley has been charged but either his trial hasn't started or is subject to reporting restrictions. His trial was due to start on 22 November last year.

I think he does have a point to be honest. The vast majority of them were at it, but only a few ended up in court.

I used to work in a place where we had allowances. I used to claim my actual expenses but I found out in a chance conversation that everyone else was claiming the maximum allowances. I was gutted!
